Dentons Europe is seeking a seasoned IT Project Manager who will assume full responsibility for driving IT projects to successful completion. This role is perfect for an individual who excels in fast-paced environments, adeptly navigates challenges, and possesses a solid history of delivering projects on schedule. This position is not for beginners or PMO reporting roles; it’s intended for professionals who are aware of the common pitfalls in project management and know how to effectively mitigate them.
Note: This is a B2B contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete delivery of mid-sized IT projects across various offices in Europe.
- Hold full accountability for:
- Project scope management
- Timeline adherence
- Risk assessment and dependency management
- Communication of delivery status
- Facilitate daily coordination between IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors.
- Proactively manage project blockers, delays, and competing priorities.
- Escalate potential risks promptly, supported by factual data.
- Coordinate vendor activities and ensure delivery standards are met.
- Provide honest status reports focusing on reality rather than perception.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of proven experience in IT project delivery.
- You have successfully:
- Delivered projects under tight deadlines.
- Managed external vendor relationships.
- Handled scope changes and resolved conflicts.
- Learned from at least one project that faced significant challenges.
- Strong practical knowledge of various project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
- Proficient in English at a minimum B2 level, able to participate actively in international calls.
- Exhibit high personal ownership, resilience, and a commitment to follow-through.
- Navigate difficult conversations with ease.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and an execution-focused mindset.
