Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Proficient in Java and object-oriented programming principles. Strong understanding of unit testing (Junit, Mockito) and integration testing (RestAssured, Cucumber). Good grasp of relational databases. Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Demonstrated experience in implementing RESTful web services. Familiarity with asynchronous communication in distributed systems. Willingness to learn about monitoring tools for system stability: AppDynamics, Uptrends, ELK stack, Splunk. Knowledge of build tools and continuous delivery practices. Experience with Agile methodologies. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Role overview

The eCommerce team sits within Garmin’s IT-Web Applications group. This team maintains the core infrastructure behind Garmin’s eCommerce platform and customer-facing applications, making sure customers around the world can browse and purchase Garmin products quickly and reliably.

What you will do

  • Develop and enhance server-side software for Garmin’s eCommerce systems
  • Apply software engineering best practices throughout the development lifecycle
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Take part in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Help ensure applications managed by the team remain highly available and resilient
  • Set up monitoring for new features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues
  • Maintain clear, thorough technical documentation
