Project Worker, Advice and Information, North WestLocation: SligoContract: Full Time, 2-year Fixed TermThis role is essential in supporting Focus Ireland's Advice and Information Service by providing dedicated advice, advocacy, and support to individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.Key Responsibilities:Offer essential information, advice, and advocacy services to those facing homelessness, covering topics such as housing options, legal rights, and social welfare entitlements.Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and review personalized support plans addressing the social, personal, and accommodation needs of individuals.Act as a liaison and advocate for service users with relevant statutory bodies and service providers.Manage a caseload while operating an accessible support service through drop-in, phone, and email channels.Foster and maintain effective partnerships with local services, community organizations, and external agencies.Guide individuals to appropriate external agencies to fulfill their social, personal, legal, and housing needs.Work under the supervision of line management, both independently and collaboratively within a team.Contribute positively to team dynamics and advocate for collaborative work practices.Maintain a client-centered approach, promoting autonomy, independence, and informed decision-making among service users.Adhere to all relevant Focus Ireland policies and procedures, including Child Protection, Confidentiality, Customer Complaints, Health and Safety, and Personnel policies.Keep accurate case records, reports, and statistics in accordance with Focus Ireland’s policies and data requirements.Engage in service development, evaluation, reflective practice, supervision, and participate in training and professional development activities.Attend and actively participate in team, section, and agency meetings, remain vigilant regarding health and safety risks, and undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by the Project or Team Leader.
