Key Responsibilities:Craft and refine player-facing text, including card names, abilities, tutorials, and in-game UI.Work collaboratively with designers to ensure that text enhances gameplay intent and is easily understandable for players.Establish and maintain editorial standards and voice guidelines, creating a consistent tone across all content.Partner with designers to simplify game mechanics and adjust copy when necessary to avoid player confusion.Engage in cross-functional collaboration with design, production, and localization teams to integrate language early in the development process.Participate in playtests, reviewing user flows, and providing insights to improve product intuitiveness.Develop scalable content systems to document and evolve game text, ensuring coherence and clarity in Riftbound as it grows.Manage the content pipeline, helping to scope writing work, align with production on timelines, and prioritize key milestones.

In this self-directed role, you will manage your writing pipeline, estimate timelines, track revisions, and coordinate with production to align with release schedules. While you will not manage a team, you will oversee the writing process to ensure that all content meets the highest clarity and quality standards. Your work will be reported directly to the Game Director.
