GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a dedicated Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our team at the Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) center. In this crucial role, you will provide essential nursing care and clinical assessments to individuals in need. You will also supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), collaborate with prescribers, and support efforts for crisis stabilization. The RN will ensure timely medical assessments, coordinate medications, and adhere to Medicaid and BHUC standards for trauma-informed care.
WORK DUTIES AND TASKS:
- 40% - Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients' physical status upon arrival.
- 25% - Supervise and support CNA staff in executing delegated nursing tasks.
- 15% - Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with Medicaid standards.
- 10% - Consult with prescribers regarding medication needs and medical conditions.
- 5% - Maintain medical supplies, equipment, and infection control standards.
- 5% - Administer or coordinate medication delivery, including MAT under prescriber guidance.
Must also be able to perform or provide:
- Nursing assessment and clinical judgment.
- Team supervision and communication.
- Behavioral health crisis response.
- Medication administration and safety.
- Documentation and regulatory compliance.
