Overview of the PreSales Engineer in Physical Security:
We are seeking a seasoned Physical Security Sales Engineer who excels at the intersection of technology and customer success. This individual will serve as a vital connector between sales and project delivery, clarifying intricate solutions while encouraging customers to envision new possibilities with both cloud-based and on-premise video, access control, and integrated security systems.
This role is pivotal, as your expertise will significantly impact project design, profit margins, and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate with an ambitious sales team and an engineering group dedicated to continuous learning and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Account Executives to qualify sales opportunities, devise system designs, and craft compelling proposals that address customer challenges.
• Conduct site evaluations, system walkthroughs, and technology consultations to guarantee each solution is technically robust and scalable.
• Present engaging technical demonstrations and live sales showcases that highlight solution capabilities and value.
• Convert complex technical information into clear, customer-focused value propositions.
• Design and present both cloud-managed and on-premise architectures tailored to client requirements and environments.
• Work in close coordination with project management and field engineering teams to ensure seamless transitions and successful project execution.
• Stay current with advancements in physical security, networking, IoT, and integration technologies.
• Assist in the preparation of RFP responses, solution architectures, and pre-sales documentation reflecting our commitment to accuracy and professionalism.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in sales engineering, system design, or technical account management within the physical security or low-voltage integration sectors.
• Proficient understanding of video surveillance (VMS/NVR), access control systems, and networking principles.
• Familiarity with leading platforms such as Avigilon Alta, Avigilon Unity, OpenEye, Salient, Axis, HID, Mercury, Software House, or similar technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable engaging clients in the field, on video calls, or during executive presentations.
• A proactive mindset, natural curiosity, and a strong drive for results.
