Position Purpose:
The Cashier serves as an essential representative of Hope Services at our retail thrift store, delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include assisting customers, managing merchandise, handling cash transactions, ensuring store safety, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities outlined below are crucial for this position. An employee in this role is expected to:
1) Greet customers with warmth and courtesy.
2) Foster positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
3) Operate the cash register efficiently while adhering to opening and closing procedures.
4) Assist in organizing and arranging merchandise to uphold a clean, tidy, and safe workspace.
5) Aid in inventory management, merchandising, and product placement on the sales floor.
6) Uphold attendance, personal hygiene, and professional dress standards.
7) Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in a fast-paced retail environment is necessary.
