The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in enhancing our accounting operations and financial reporting across designated markets and corporate cost centers. This position emphasizes precision, regulatory compliance, and punctuality in managing payroll, commissions, billings, cash operations, and the month-end closing process. Initially, this role requires in-office presence for six months, transitioning to a hybrid work schedule thereafter.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting functions across various markets and corporate departments, including billing, cash management, payroll processing, allocations, and month-end close activities.
- Regularly review, update, and sustain allocations, which includes posting entries and calculating any retroactive adjustments.
- Facilitate coordination and posting of cost center and headquarters allocations among corporate departments.
- Where applicable, manage and document earnest money deposit entries for business pursuits.
- Prepare and finalize balance sheet reconciliations for accruals, prepaid expenses, and other assigned accounts.
- Conduct bank reconciliations for accounts as applicable.
- Assess expenditures for accurate classification of fixed assets and prepare depreciation and amortization entries for intangible assets.
- Review and post intercompany adjustments to guarantee precise reporting between market and headquarters accounts.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and address discrepancies efficiently.
- Examine and post trial balance uploads for entities not integrated into the core ERP system.
- Carry out consolidation duties and ensure appropriate elimination of intercompany balances.
- Assist in reviewing monthly financial statements and analyze significant variances month-over-month, year-over-year, and between budgeted versus actual figures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Collaboration & Business Partnership
- Collaborate with the Administrative Finance and FP&A teams to enhance variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Respond to inquiries for financial and operational data from the Finance and FP&A departments.
