To expand our Payroll department and ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant payroll processing, we are enhancing our Finance team. We are seeking a skilled Senior Payroll Accountant (m/f/d) to join us part-time, with a commitment of 20 hours per week, starting as soon as possible.
The ideal work location is Berlin/Brandenburg; however, remote work (home office) is also an option.
In this key role, you will be the primary contact for all payroll-related matters, ensuring seamless collaboration between Payroll, HR, and Accounting.
Your Responsibilities
- Independently execute monthly payroll processing
- Maintain and verify all payroll-relevant master and movement data
- Prepare and submit statutory reports and certificates (e.g., social security, DEÜV, A1)
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements in payroll tax, labor, and social security law
- Professionally assess complex payroll-related issues and implement auditing processes
- Coordinate with HR and Accounting (e.g., payroll accounts, provisions)
- Collaborate with tax advisors, authorities, and social security institutions
- Serve as an internal point of contact for all payroll questions and assist with audits
- Support the Accounting team and comprehend HGB accounting processes
