Position Overview
This role involves the design, specification, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems and control processes aimed at optimizing operational efficiency, quality, and performance. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create, deploy, and document control systems that boost productivity, minimize waste, and ensure the safe operation of machinery.
Key Responsibilities
System Design and Development
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather process requirements and objectives.
· Design and implement control systems and automation solutions that meet project goals.
· Develop project specifications with justifications, cost analysis, timelines, and resource requirements.
· Direct and manage third-party vendors or integrators working on project-related assignments, both internally and externally. Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Programming and System Integration
· Develop, test, and debug control logic programs adhering to IEC61131-3 standards for PLCs, PACs, DCS, MES, and SCADA systems.
· Possess an advanced understanding of motion control schemes and safety system integration.
· Experience in programming collaborative robots (Cobots) and integrating machines with operators.
· Create Human-Machine Interface (HMI) programs for comprehensive machine interactions including alarms, machine state, recipe management, user login, and security.
