RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage inventory costing and reconciliation for launch raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products. Conduct obsolescence reviews and perform reserve calculations to guarantee accurate financial reporting. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and materials for both internal and external monthly and quarterly reporting. Assist with annual financial statement audits and ad hoc analyses. Support the GL financial close process to ensure comprehensive and accurate financials in compliance with U. S. GAAP. Collaborate cross-functionally to gain a thorough understanding of company operations and business results in assigned areas. Deliver high-quality work to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial statements. Contribute to process improvements and reporting enhancements, including standardization and automation initiatives. Undertake ad hoc duties and analyses as directed by management. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree.2+ years of professional experience in accounting or finance. PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, SQL, D365, and Power BI. Exceptional technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal. CPA license or equivalent certification. Experience in accounting for aerospace or technology firms. Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying underlying issues.

LAUNCH ACCOUNTANT

The Launch Accountant is an essential member of our Accounting team, responsible for managing the daily accounting operations at SpaceX. You will be tasked with ensuring precise costing for Falcon, Dragon, and Raptor components, collaborating with various teams including Supply Chain, Finance, and Materials Management.
