Position Summary

As the Manager of Connections Planning at Mediabrands, you will take on a pivotal role in supervising and enhancing our integrated media planning initiatives. This position not only involves managing the media planning process but also actively engaging in business development. You will play a crucial role in shaping media strategies and operational procedures, while leading and mentoring a talented team of professionals.

In this collaborative environment, you will work closely with an integrated media planning team to ensure our media products are driven by insights and experiences, resulting in impeccable media executions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, writing, and presentation of comprehensive media plans and proposals that exceed client expectations.
  • Maintain stewardship over media plans, regularly assessing and monitoring execution effectiveness.
  • Facilitate knowledge-sharing across various departments, partner agencies, and internal teams to keep media and client knowledge current.
  • Ensure all media plans align with the agency's values, philosophies, and processes.
  • Prepare and present evaluations of media opportunities, trends, and issues relevant to clients.
  • Stay informed about client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure proper tracking for necessary check-ins.
  • Manage and lead a team effectively by communicating agency goals, balancing workloads, providing performance feedback, and supporting professional growth. Participate in the hiring process as needed.
  • Efficiently handle clients' daily planning needs with a strong grasp of their business objectives and KPIs.
  • Report potential challenges and opportunities related to client and team management to leadership.
  • Influence decision-making by proposing strategic advantages and benefits of offerings to clients.
  • Engage in additional agency and team projects, as well as new business presentations when required.
  • Oversee financial media control, including purchase authorizations, billing, and budget reports, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
