Role Overview
We are in search of a talented Manufacturing Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of production lines for our state-of-the-art battery storage solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle to create high-quality manufacturing processes and equipment that yield Base-Power's innovative battery storage products.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop equipment, fixtures, and processes for prototype builds, scaling to high-volume production.
Identify and source essential equipment for manufacturing processes, collaborating with integrators to create semi-automated to fully automated manufacturing systems.
Oversee supplier management through specifications, design, procurement, and installation of manufacturing machinery.
Create optimized workstation layouts that improve product flow, ergonomics, and efficiency while performing process analysis, design of experiments (DOE), process failure modes and effects analysis (PFMEA), line balancing, and capacity modeling.
Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) insights to enhance production processes and outcomes.
Draft comprehensive manufacturing instructions and documentation to facilitate technician training, process implementation, and seamless transitions to production operations.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer, specifically with mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Proficient in 2D CAD tools for conceptual line design (e.g., AutoCAD) and 3D design software for mechanical equipment, fixtures, and tooling (e.g., SolidWorks or CATIA).
Familiarity with conveyance systems, workstation design, robotics, adhesive dispensing, DC fastening tools, and automated functional testing.
Knowledgeable in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and system stack-up analysis.
Experience in drafting technical specifications for manufacturing equipment.
