About the Role
As a Validation Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of the Base-Power Validation team, responsible for confirming the reliability of our power systems, inverters, and batteries in real-world applications. This role involves spearheading the validation function, developing tools and processes, and building a skilled team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trustworthy products at scale. You will collaborate closely with Research & Development, Supply Chain, and Quality Engineering teams to define reliability criteria and substantiate it through thorough testing.
This opportunity allows you to influence validation practices at Base-Power from foundational principles to practical execution.
What You'll Do:
Establish and oversee Base-Power's validation strategy, creating a robust framework that adapts to product complexities and fleet expansion.
Lead the formulation of validation protocols for inverters, batteries, and power systems utilizing thermal chambers, high-power supplies, and advanced testing equipment.
Design and manage the development of validation automation software and infrastructure.
Maintain version control and consistency across requirements and test management systems within teams.
Work collaboratively across departments to address validation findings, influence design choices, and enhance product reliability.
Produce and present comprehensive validation reports to support compliance, certification, and executive decision-making.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Possess a systems-level mindset with a passion for creating reliable, resilient products.
5+ years of experience in software or electromechanical validation, particularly with power systems, hardware, or embedded products.
Familiarity with validation tools (thermal chambers, high-power supplies, DAQ systems) and test automation frameworks.
Proficient in leading validation initiatives and fostering a culture of quality assurance.
