What You BringBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively. Experience with manufacturing systems and process optimization methodologies. Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is a plus.

Your Impact

In the role of Manufacturing Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in enhancing the manufacturing systems and processes at our Kassel facility. Your collaboration with operations, engineering, and quality teams will ensure that our manufacturing processes are both efficient and reliable.

What You’ll Do

Location: Onsite at our Kassel, Germany office
Reports to: General Manager, Operations

  • Enhance and streamline manufacturing systems, processes, and workflows to promote efficient and reliable operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, tooling, and production systems to boost throughput and minimize operational challenges.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve technical issues impacting manufacturing performance.
  • Create and uphold manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and system procedures.
  • Facilitate New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure readiness in manufacturing and process stability.
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational data to detect trends and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with manufacturing engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to enhance yield, reduce defects, and stabilize processes.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, or production tracking tools.
  • Contribute to Lean manufacturing initiatives and operational excellence programs throughout the Kassel site.
  • Standardize processes and enhance the visibility of production performance across the manufacturing organization.
