Role Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer - Turboshaft Systems will support the design and development of a new Turbogenerator system. This role is based in San Jose, California.
Main Responsibilities
- Create detailed models of components and large assemblies for the Turbogenerator using Siemens NX.
- Develop master geometry and skeleton models.
- Design components with manufacturability and assembly in mind.
- Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
- Oversee the design process, working closely with manufacturing and testing teams.
- Maintain bills of materials, test protocols, and design guidelines.
- Present design concepts clearly to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with supply chain, quality assurance, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
