Qualifications
Qualifications:We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in HVAC systems and related fields, is required. Proficiency in Revit/BIM and energy modeling software is essential. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Independently perform and direct the design of ductwork, piping, and equipment selection for HVAC systems on assigned projects. Complex projects may require supervision from a professional engineer. Provide assistance with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs as necessary.
- Oversee or provide project management within the mechanical discipline, monitoring project progress and budgets.
- Calculate heating and cooling loads, layout, and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
- Develop Revit/BIM models of HVAC systems from schematic design through construction administration phases, including layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings. Perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as required.
- Edit specifications for existing or new projects.
- Conduct independent research as required and address emergent issues.
- Specify mechanical equipment including boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
- Review shop drawings to ensure compliance with specifications and contract documents.
- Effectively interface with clients and project team members, attending Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with a focus on project budgets.
- Respond to RFIs and review change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
- Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, participating in construction meetings. Site visits often require physical walkthroughs.
- Coordinate work activities on specific projects with multiple stakeholders.
