The Space team at Anduril is at the forefront of expanding our AI-driven capabilities to the final frontier. We focus on enhancing Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control systems for the U. S. military and its allies. Our mission includes the development of fully integrated hardware and software systems, such as Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to tackle emerging threats in space, ensuring our Guardians maintain a competitive edge in this vital domain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead the design of hardware systems (CAD, hand calculations, prototypes) from conceptualization to launch, ensuring designs evolve intelligently throughout the program lifecycle.
• Employ first principles thinking to simplify designs and enhance functionality.
• Analyze and communicate the advantages and disadvantages of system architectures regarding design and packaging, emphasizing robust architectural integrity.
• Facilitate subsystem design reviews, effectively presenting project statuses and timelines to team members.
• Serve as the Responsible Engineer for your subsystem: conduct analyses, engage with vendors, and define and implement hardware testing protocols.
• Develop prototypes, assess failures, and transition validated designs to production and flight hardware.
• Travel to test sites and vendor locations as required.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including presentation materials, test plans, reports, procedures, assembly instructions, and specifications.
