Expertise in Primavera P6; familiarity with additional planning tools such as MSP is advantageous. Thorough understanding of the NEC form of contract and its associated planning requirements. Demonstrable proficiency in building, managing, and analyzing complex project schedules. Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the capability to influence senior teams and clients. Knowledge of construction methodologies, project control principles, resource modeling, and earned value analysis. A meticulous approach with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and project success.

Join our dynamic team at United Infrastructure Group as a P6 Planner based on the picturesque South Coast of the United Kingdom. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of engineering and infrastructure projects within the water and energy sectors.

As a senior planner, you will be responsible for creating, executing, and overseeing comprehensive project plans. Collaborating closely with project teams, senior management, and clients, you will ensure that all objectives are clearly defined, accurately addressed, and aligned with program goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed integrated project programs, schedules, and resource strategies utilizing Primavera P6.
  • Create detailed Work Breakdown Structures while ensuring program logic is in line with scope, methodologies, and contractual obligations.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate potential project risks, offering mitigation strategies and recovery plans as needed.
  • Assist project managers and discipline leads in defining key milestones, sequencing, and deliverables.
  • Prepare tender and contract programs, ensuring compliance with NEC conditions and client expectations.
  • Conduct resource and productivity analyses to enhance project performance and aid in cost forecasting.
  • Lead schedule reviews, progress reporting, and updates, delivering clear narratives and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices, industry standards, and internal governance in project planning processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, sharing your expertise and mentoring junior planners.
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to identify and resolve program issues promptly.
