Role Overview: The Physical Therapy Technician is an essential unlicensed associate who plays a vital role in assisting licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists. You will work closely with patients in alignment with state regulations and company standards to ensure they receive top-notch care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for patient therapy sessions.
- Assist and observe patients as they perform prescribed exercises, documenting their responses accurately.
- Administer basic treatments such as applying ice packs and heat pads as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing equipment and therapy areas, and laundering linens.
- Support administrative functions, including patient intake, managing phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervising therapists.
