Our teams operate from various locations including Gloucestershire, Manchester, and London, as we enhance our platform capabilities and seek talented Platform Engineers to join our mission.
Your Role
As a Platform Engineer at Hamiltonian Dynamics, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the platforms and infrastructure that support our secure software systems. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to ensure reliable delivery, scalability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage secure, automated infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Enhance and operate containerized platforms and cloud environments
- Support Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and developer workflows
- Boost observability, reliability, and operational resilience
- Work collaboratively across teams to refine platform standards and tools
Preferred Skills & Experience
We seek candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas, along with a readiness to embrace new tools:
- Infrastructure as Code and automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS and/or Azure)
- CI/CD tools and modern delivery methodologies
- Logging, monitoring, and tracing (e.g., Elastic Stack, Grafana, Jaeger)
- Familiarity with CNCF tools and cloud-native best practices
Security & Location Requirements
- Must be a UK citizen with a minimum of 10 years UK residency
- Required to possess high-level UK security clearance
- Willingness to travel to client sites in Gloucestershire, Manchester, or London
