About the Role
As a Preservation Coordinator at Altisource, you will play a vital role in overseeing the timely management and coordination of activities essential for the security, maintenance, and preservation of REO properties acquired through reverse mortgage foreclosures. You will collaborate extensively with vendors and contractors to ensure that properties are safe, secured, and prepared for market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the REO property preservation process for reverse mortgages, ensuring compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate and manage timely property inspections to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs.
- Implement security measures for vacant properties to deter unauthorized access and vandalism.
- Supervise property clean-out and debris removal tasks.
- Manage landscaping and lawn maintenance to enhance curb appeal and avoid code violations.
- Coordinate winterization services to safeguard vacant properties against weather-related damage during cold spells.
- Ensure completion of necessary life safety and preservation tasks, such as board-up services and plumbing shut-off.
- Track and document all preservation activities for each property diligently.
- Work collaboratively with asset managers and other departments to facilitate a seamless transition when properties are ready for listing and sale.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records for all REO properties within your scope.
