As a vital member of our team, you will be tasked with the effective management and coordination of activities crucial for securing, maintaining, and preserving Real Estate Owned (REO) properties obtained through reverse mortgage foreclosures. Your role will involve close collaboration with vendors and contractors, ensuring that properties are safe, secure, and market-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the REO property preservation process for reverse mortgages, adhering to company protocols and legal requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise timely property inspections to detect safety hazards and maintenance needs.
- Implement measures to secure vacant properties against unauthorized access and vandalism.
- Manage property clean-outs and debris removal efficiently.
- Ensure proper lawn maintenance, including grass cutting and landscaping, to enhance curb appeal and avoid code violations.
- Coordinate winterization services to safeguard vacant properties against winter weather damage.
- Execute additional life safety and preservation measures as necessary (e.g., board-up services, plumbing shut-off).
- Document and track all preservation activities for each property meticulously.
- Work collaboratively with asset managers and other departments to facilitate a smooth transition when properties are ready for listing and sale.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all REO properties under your management.
