Are you ready to push the limits of what's achievable?Here’s what we’re looking for:A degree (or equivalent) in ecology or a related field. Membership in an appropriate professional institution, working towards or having achieved Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status, and holding protected species survey and/or mitigation licenses. Proven experience in leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments, backed by relevant professional experience. Demonstrated experience in work-winning, project management, managing project budgets, and leading stakeholder discussions. Experience in reviewing technical work and supporting team members.

Currently, we are engaged in an array of significant projects across the power and renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport sectors. We also collaborate with other technical disciplines, including landscape, GIS, engineering, sustainability, and drainage. Our recent projects feature some of the largest solar farms that have received consent in the UK, energy transition initiatives, and habitat regulations assessments for various plans and projects for local authorities, along with master planning for new residential developments.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to both internal and external clients.
  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and organization of all phases of ecological project work, ensuring that necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place to meet both program and budget requirements.
  • Develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological challenges.
  • Lead the production of ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species license applications.
  • Review and ensure high-quality outputs by authoring or technically checking project deliverables.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of our technical capabilities.
