What You’ll Do:Define innovative strategies to visualize end-to-end network paths. You will determine the methods for capturing, analyzing, and mapping complex routing data to provide customers with a genuine hop-by-hop view of their network traffic. Manage the core Network Path roadmap, ensuring comprehensive coverage for cloud-native networking, such as AWS VPCs, Transit Gateways, SD-WAN, and traditional on-premise routing topologies. Investigate ways to integrate flow data, routing metrics (BGP, OSPF), and synthetic network tests to deliver a comprehensive view of network health and accurately identify the specific node or ISP causing performance degradation. Collaborate with Product Marketing to communicate the business value of network path monitoring, illustrating how enhanced visibility correlates with reduced MTTR and optimized cloud egress costs. Identify opportunities to develop intelligent alerting and root-cause analysis features, working with engineering to highlight network bottlenecks, ISP outages, or misconfigured security groups before they affect end-user applications. Who You Are:You bring over 3 years of experience in B2B SaaS Product Management, specifically in Network Performance Monitoring, Cloud Infrastructure, or IT Operations. You possess hands-on experience or extensive familiarity with cloud networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, VPCs, Load Balancers, CDNs) and traditional networking protocols. You have a profound understanding of how network performance impacts user experience and application reliability.

About the job

As a Product Manager II for Network Path at Datadog, you will take ownership of the vision, strategy, and execution aimed at enhancing how our customers visualize, monitor, and troubleshoot network traffic across intricate hybrid and cloud environments. Collaborating with a diverse array of Network, DevOps, and SRE teams, you will gain insights into their infrastructure management, the challenges they face concerning network visibility and routing, and how our products can assist them in effectively observing, isolating, and remedying latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues across the public internet, cloud providers, and private data centers.

Additionally, you will engage with product teams throughout the organization to uncover opportunities for creating integrated experiences, bridging the gap between infrastructure monitoring, application performance, and network health. You will partner with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams to foster adoption across thousands of customers.

At Datadog, we value a collaborative office culture that fuels creativity and strengthens relationships. We operate as a hybrid workplace, allowing our Datadogs to achieve a work-life balance that suits their needs best.
