Salary:
The annual salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, contingent upon specific responsibilities and geographic considerations. The starting salary within this range will be determined based on the applicant's experience, qualifications, and skill set.
Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of hourly production staff, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. This role ensures that product specifications are met to the highest quality standards, and compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and regulations for the safe and environmentally sound production of quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve plant and company objectives effectively.
- Oversee daily operations on the production floor with a consistent focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost management.
- Provide leadership, management, and motivation to enhance employee performance and retention.
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational methods designed to resolve issues and improve product quality and revenue.
- Operate production lines and machinery during employee absences or when the plant is short-staffed.
- Ensure finished products conform to company, industry, and customer specifications with minimal costs and maximum efficiency.
- Direct, coach, and train production employees.
- Maintain shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Supervise production associates, including performance evaluations, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.
- Recruit new employees as necessary.
- Monitor and manage attendance and vacation schedules.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement tactics.
- Effectively implement changes as needed.
- Understand safety, health, and environmental laws, rules, and applicable Signode policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the plant manager.
