Your Responsibilities as a Water Resources Engineer:
- Participate actively in a diverse range of water resources engineering projects during proposal, planning, and execution stages for engineering studies and construction projects.
- Lead the development of conceptual, preliminary, and final construction design drawings for water control structures, regional flood mitigation initiatives, and water quality enhancement projects.
- Acquire comprehensive knowledge of stormwater analysis and design through hands-on experience, including the preparation of stormwater management plans utilizing hydraulic and hydrologic modeling analyses, hydrogeology, climatic data assessments, flood assessments, floodplain mapping and modeling, flood mitigation designs, natural channel design, environmental compliance, and regulatory permitting.
- Conduct technical reviews and seal engineering design drawings as appropriate.
- Gain practical experience with stormwater management modeling tools, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and StormWise/ICPR4.
- Oversee all phases of water resources projects, including pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction implementation, while coordinating fieldwork.
- Provide peer reviews of reports and designs produced by internal water resources staff.
- Engage with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
