About the Role
Highwood USA is seeking a Profile Technician / Machine Operator for the night shift at our Hometown facility. This role supports our manufacturing process by producing customized profiles from raw materials, monitoring product quality, and preparing finished goods for shipment. Safety and teamwork are central to our operations.
What You Will Do
- Deliver the correct materials in the required amounts to production lines
- Start up production lines and equipment on schedule
- Run profile and compound lines following established procedures
- Switch colors and tools accurately during changeovers
- Perform frequent quality checks to meet product specifications
- Adjust production lines as needed to fulfill customer requirements while maintaining quality and productivity
- Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and cleaning of machines
- Contribute to process improvements
- Record production data, scrap rates, and operational details accurately
- Use basic computer skills for daily operational tasks
- Operate forklifts when required
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues
- Package finished products to meet quality standards
- Keep the work area clean and organized
- Take on other duties as assigned
