POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project LIFE Instructor will deliver the Project LIFE curriculum to student interns, facilitating both classroom instruction and independent living activities. This role includes providing on-site coaching during work-based learning opportunities and monitoring the progress of interns while maintaining communication with community partners. The instructor will also be required to learn various entry-level job skills across Goodwill’s retail network and in collaboration with other local businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee program operations, ensuring effective implementation and support for student participants to achieve their goals and access necessary resources.
- Provide timely reports on program status, including attendance, goals, and support needs for participants.
- Assist team members and job site personnel in fostering natural supports within the workplace, including implementing job modifications and routines that enhance independence and facilitate a successful transition.
- Collaborate across departments to create hands-on learning and on-the-job training opportunities for students.
- Lead instructional courses, which may involve curriculum development and career coaching, as well as conducting individual career assessments and meetings with participants.
- Develop and analyze skills assessments for students to evaluate their progress at baseline, mid-year, and year-end.
Compensation: $18.25 to $18.98 per hour.
Retention Bonus: $1,000 available after 90 days of employment!
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with flexible start and end times based on departmental needs.
