Role Overview:
The Program Manager for Vehicle Recovery, Safety & Logistics is a vital leadership position tasked with overseeing the safe and efficient management of vehicle recovery operations, market safety monitoring, and operational logistics within Waymo's service areas. As Waymo expands its Owned & Operated (O&O) and Partner markets, this role guarantees that recovery protocols, safety measures, and vehicle logistics are consistently applied to ensure fleet readiness, uphold operational integrity, and reinforce Waymo’s commitment to safety. Working within Market Operations, this leader acts as the safety advocate for the market, ensuring that vehicle recovery tasks, incident response coordination, and logistics are executed with precision and align with Waymo’s Safety Management System (SMS) and regulatory standards. Additionally, this position is crucial for coordinating between partners, vendors, depot teams, and centralized operations to swiftly resolve incidents, optimize vehicle movements, and minimize operational disruptions. The successful candidate will demonstrate robust operational judgment, leadership in safety, and the ability to coordinate in real-time, maintaining high service reliability amidst the complexities of autonomous fleet operations.
