As the Project Control Manager for a specific area, you will oversee comprehensive project control within that segment of the project. Your role is both evaluative, primarily focused on the functioning of the system and internal processes of the area, and supportive, making you a crucial partner to other roles. Maintaining an independent stance is essential.
You will ensure a clear overview of all control aspects, identify potential process deviations, and propose necessary control measures. As the critical voice within the project, you will ensure uniformity and connectivity across teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the uniformity and integrity of project control products and processes, while organizing and leading the project control team within a specific area, responsible for overseeing processes such as:
- Risk Management;
- Cost Management;
- Schedule Management, including earned value management;
- Scope Management through systems engineering (work package management, change management, etc.);
- Quality Management (deviations and defects);
- Information and Document Management, including deliverables;
- Acting as the primary contact for project control within the area, facilitating connections among teams;
- Taking a proactive role in improving work processes related to project control in collaboration with project management system leaders within the organization;
- Serving as the intermediary between the project organization and area manager;
- Supervising progress within the area, ensuring compliance with defined standards and processes;
- Being the first point of contact for reviews, internal audits, external audits, etc.;
- Supporting the project team by providing essential control information and tools for efficient and controlled operations;
- Ensuring the production of reports from the area.
