As a Project Manager in the Mineral & Mining sector, you will be responsible for coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders, including third parties and vendors, to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
Your primary objective will be to guarantee that all projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and adhere to budgetary constraints.
Key responsibilities include defining project scope and objectives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility in conjunction with the Engineering department, and managing resource allocation effectively.
Developing a comprehensive project plan using MS Project or Primavera to monitor and track progress is essential. You will also manage any changes that arise in project scope, schedule, or costs utilizing appropriate verification techniques.
Your role will involve measuring project performance through established tools and techniques, as well as reporting and escalating issues to management when necessary.
You will be tasked with managing relationships with clients and all stakeholders, while performing risk management to mitigate project risks. Establishing and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors is also crucial.
Your duties include creating and maintaining thorough project documentation, meeting with clients for detailed briefings, and delegating tasks based on team members' strengths and experiences. You will track project performance to analyze the successful completion of both short and long-term goals, make financial adjustments as needed, and continually develop your leadership skills.
Additional responsibilities will include developing spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document project needs and maintaining all BGMS and project-related documents according to company standards and customer requirements.
