About the job
- Oversee the establishment and adherence to comprehensive Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures at various project sites.
Ensure that all construction activities are performed according to approved designs, technical specifications, and contractual obligations.
Conduct regular inspections at construction sites, focusing on civil works such as pipeline installation, reservoirs, pumping stations, sewer systems, and related infrastructure.
Test construction materials, including cement, aggregates, concrete, pipes, valves, and fittings, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assess material quality and grant approval for materials before their deployment on site.
Maintain thorough records of material test results and laboratory analyses.
Collaborate with site laboratories or third-party testing facilities to evaluate materials and samples.
Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with applicable Indian Standards (IS codes) and project specifications.
Keep detailed quality records, including inspection reports, test results, checklists, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Compile quality monitoring reports for submission to the Project Manager or Consultant.
Identify and address quality-related issues or discrepancies in adherence to specifications.
Initiate corrective and preventive measures and ensure the resolution of NCRs.
Work closely with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to uphold quality standards throughout the project duration.
Ensure compliance with government regulations, contract stipulations, and quality benchmarks relevant to urban infrastructure projects.
