Role Overview The Quality Control Specialist plays a key role in ensuring electrical installations meet project specifications, electrical codes (NEC), and client standards. This position is based on-site and requires collaboration with engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and QA/QC representatives throughout all construction phases. Main Responsibilities On-Site Quality Oversight Monitor and inspect all electrical installations, including conduit and cable work, MV/LV switchgear, panels, lighting systems, and grounding. Review work for compliance with project specifications, NEC, and client requirements. Conduct daily inspections and quality assessments during construction. Perform in-process inspections at critical milestones such as slab pours, wall closures, and panel energization. Testing & Commissioning Oversee and document pre-commissioning and final testing of electrical systems (IR, continuity, phase sequence, loop checks, VLF, ground resistance). Coordinate with testing vendors and commissioning agents to witness and record commissioning activities. Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and procedures are followed. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily inspection logs, test records, inspection reports, NCRs, and punch lists. Track submittals and RFI logs to support timely project completion. Verify accuracy of as-built drawings and markups. Issue Resolution & Coordination Identify and address workmanship issues, non-conformances, or code violations with corrective actions. Collaborate with project engineers, electrical foremen, subcontractors, and QA/QC staff to uphold quality standards. Participate in toolbox talks, safety walks, and progress meetings as the on-site quality advocate.
