Join FHP Manufacturing as a Quality Inspector/Test Technician on the 2nd shift, where you will be an essential part of our production team. Your role will focus on ensuring that our products not only meet stringent quality standards but also align with customer specifications. This position integrates a variety of tasks including inspection, end-of-line testing, troubleshooting, and providing technical support, all aimed at maintaining a seamless production flow and ensuring product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection

  • Conduct thorough end-of-line inspections to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Document detailed inspection results and findings using a digital system (tablet).
  • Detect defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to internal quality systems and applicable industry regulations.
  • Monitor production processes and propose enhancements to improve product quality and operational efficiency.

Test Technician

  • Act as the primary contact for team leaders and supervisors regarding end-of-line testing issues.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions during the assembly and testing phases.
  • Analyze and interpret test data to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Spot opportunities for process improvements and revise work instructions accordingly.
  • Communicate clearly with end-of-line operators to ensure that daily production targets are achieved.

Technical Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (including compressors, fan motors, valves, condensers, piping, and control devices).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, refrigeration piping schematics, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities in electrical, electronic, and automated control systems (PLC knowledge preferred).
  • Skilled in detecting subtle defects or non-conformities.
  • Basic understanding of Ethernet networking and computer systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
