The Role
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an essential member of our emergency care team. Your role will involve managing a variety of cases, from minor issues to complex emergencies, while collaborating closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality, emotionally intelligent care. You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care, all while providing reassurance and support to pet owners during their most challenging moments. This position is perfect for those eager to apply their training, expand their skills, and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary treatment and care to every patient and family, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
- Respond promptly to medical needs, delivering nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from initial triage through to discharge.
- Administer medications and monitor patients effectively, showcasing your technical skills from IVs to blood transfusions.
- Communicate effectively as a team member, contributing to care plans and ensuring smooth operations.
- Be prepared to perform CPR and other emergency procedures, with ongoing training available.
