QualificationsCommunication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiency in English, with the ability to adapt communication styles to various audiences and cultures. Proficiency in at least one Southeast Asian language (Mandarin, Thai, Japanese, Indonesian, Malay, etc.) is required. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in international relations, politics, security studies, criminal justice, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years in GSOCs, military, NGO, or corporate security operations is required, with a preference for candidates possessing 5 years of combined experience. Crisis Management: Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations. Global Awareness: In-depth knowledge of global geopolitical affairs and the capacity to assess operational impacts across sectors. Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for data interpretation, along with excellent problem-solving capabilities. Customer Service Excellence: Outstanding customer service orientation with a focus on client satisfaction. Collaborative Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.

About the job

Role Purpose

As a Risk Consultant at Control Risks, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert support, advisory services, and monitoring to a diverse portfolio of clients across the globe. This position involves direct interaction with clients, necessitating the delivery of comprehensive security support, ongoing risk monitoring, and timely updates, all while being prepared to respond effectively in crisis situations.

The role requires working 12-hour shifts on a 4-day-on, 4-day-off rotation, alternating between day and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support and Liaison: Act as a primary contact for Control Risks ONE clients in high-stress environments, managing security incidents and inquiries with expertise.
  • Tailored Security Solutions: Deliver customized verbal and written security assessments and recommendations, based on a thorough understanding of client operations, while ensuring proactive crisis management and coordination.
  • Intelligence and Security Risk Consulting: Gather and analyze relevant open-source and proprietary information to prepare detailed threat intelligence reports and risk assessments, while monitoring global events to forecast impacts on client operations.
  • Crisis Management and Provider Identification: Support crisis management teams and evacuation operations by maintaining situational awareness of crises and identifying security providers to ensure client safety and rapid response.
  • Client Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts and ensure client needs are met efficiently.
  • Additional Duties: Contribute to team success and continuous improvement through the completion of additional assigned tasks.
