Role Overview
The Sales Engineer will play a central role in generating new business and shaping engineered refrigeration solutions for clients. This position involves working closely with customers to understand their technical, financial, and environmental goals, then designing solutions that fit. What You Will Do
- Build and maintain relationships with end-users, engineering consultants, and suppliers.
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities within the assigned territory, converting leads into sales.
- Use a consultative approach to develop technical solutions and budget estimates based on customer needs.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals that communicate benefits and secure new business.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms.
- Track and manage the sales funnel efficiently.
- Serve as the main commercial contact for customers from project award through completion.
- Apply project management skills to oversee projects after they are sold.
- Continue to build expertise in industrial refrigeration, fluid dynamics, pumping systems, and heat transfer.
- Act as a technical resource, offering product education, support, and after-sales assistance.
- Travel up to 25% across North America as needed.
- Maintain CRM records using Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Calculate cooling loads for various processes using engineering principles.
- Use the Sales directory for training and to review different process designs.
- Perform costing using provided tools such as NAV, Dynamics 365, and other sales tools.
- Update costing for major components regularly, based on vendor quotes or new pricing.
