Role overview
The Scale Relationship Manager works with Intercom’s existing business clients, focusing on growth and ongoing support. This position combines relationship management, strategic planning, and cross-team collaboration. Intercom emphasizes a customer-centered sales approach and encourages internal career development.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with scaled business customers to support revenue growth and retention.
- Work directly with clients to understand their challenges and recommend solutions using Intercom’s platform.
- Create and execute territory plans to identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities.
- Gain insight into client objectives and ensure sales forecasts remain accurate.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to share customer feedback and contribute to product improvements.
- Monitor and report on customer growth, retention, and product usage metrics.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of SaaS sales experience, with at least 1 year in a closing role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing and prioritizing multiple accounts.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions.
- Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
