Job Purpose:The General Ledger (GL) Supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing the GL function, ensuring precise financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards. This position involves leading the GL team through month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial analysis, guaranteeing the timely and accurate generation of financial statements.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily activities of the GL team, ensuring prompt and accurate transaction postings.Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial entries are properly recorded, reconciled, and closed within the established timeline.Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.Ensure the integrity of financial data while maintaining compliance with accounting policies and regulations.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation.Support finance and operations teams with GL-related inquiries and issues.Mentor and develop GL staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.Implement process enhancements to improve the efficiency of GL operations.Contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures.
