Role overview
The Senior Accountant is based at the corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. This position oversees general ledger accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial and multi-family real estate assets. The role also delivers ad hoc financial analysis to support the regional management team, partnering with operations leaders, property managers, and asset management.

Main responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers for multiple properties and entities, including handling journal entries and cash receipts, and resolving any coding or booking errors.
- Develop rolling 12-month income and expense forecasts for property portfolios, using commercial strategies and insights from regional management.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for several entities.
- Monitor and forecast multi-year capital projects and appropriations.
- Share results, explain variances, and recommend actions to regional leadership and on-site property management teams.
- Research and report on significant income and expense factors.
- Work closely with colleagues throughout the company.
- Represent Ackermann Group in a professional and courteous way when interacting with residents, coworkers, and the public.
