About the job

The Senior Benefits Associate plays a pivotal role within the Employee Benefits division, delivering crucial in-house support to Client Management teams by managing internal service requests concerning employee benefits. This role is tailored for detail-oriented and organized individuals who are enthusiastic about advancing their career in the employee benefits sector. The Senior Benefits Associate will work closely under the mentorship of the Employee Benefits Support Supervisor, actively collaborate with the Client Management team, and enhance the overall service delivery efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address internal service requests from the Client Management team, ensuring timely and precise task execution.
  • Prepare various administrative documents including plan matrices, proposals, claims history reports, enrollment data, and billing summaries.
  • Develop, update, and format client-facing communication materials such as benefit guides, strategic presentations, and compliance documents.
  • Monitor deadlines and assist in the preparation and submission of compliance documents including ACA reporting, COBRA notices, and ERISA disclosures.
  • Work with insurance carriers to request information, gather quotes, confirm plan specifics, and rectify discrepancies.
  • Support client meetings, wellness fairs, and open enrollment events by coordinating logistics and preparing necessary materials.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients through documentation collection, internal systems setup, and welcome materials preparation.
  • Compile benchmarking data to facilitate client benefit comparisons and strategic planning.
  • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry, scanning, and document management using tools like SharePoint, Epic, and Smartsheet.
  • Conduct peer reviews of client materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and maintain internal reports to monitor client activities, service requests, and project timelines.
  • Handle routine inquiries and internal communications with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad-hoc assignments as necessary.
  • Engage in collaboration with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues and enhance workflows.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings to further knowledge and support team development.
