We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager with a minimum of 8 years of sales experience within the Canberra market. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented, with a proven sales track record. Key qualifications and experiences include:Strong understanding of the Canberra IT landscape with a robust network at the C-level among government and corporate clients. Familiarity with managed services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and digital platforms, along with the technical acumen to quickly grasp new offerings. Demonstrated ability to manage extended sales cycles, including RFP responses, collaborating with Datacom’s pre-sales team, line-of-business stakeholders, and solution architects. Capacity to rapidly qualify opportunities. Keeping abreast of industry knowledge, training, and engagement with relevant vendors. Ability to communicate technical information effectively to a diverse audience. Exceptional skills in building and managing customer and vendor relationships. Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities. Enhancing and supporting existing strategic vendor relationships to keep Datacom top-of-mind for opportunities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience utilizing Salesforce as a CRM to track opportunity progress.

Role Overview

With a deep understanding of the unique Canberra market and a proven track record in engaging with government agencies and corporate clients, you will excel in this position. Your ability to forge and nurture strong relationships with customers, partners, and vendors will be crucial to your accomplishments.
