Qualifications

Do you have the qualifications?4 to 6 years of experience in application and production support, specifically in cloud-based hosting administration, management, and performance optimization in high availability SLA environments. Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. Familiarity with operating systems including Unix, Linux, and Windows, along with experience in Tomcat, SSH, and scripting languages. Strong background in SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. Understanding of complex processes and data flows. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with various product teams and clients daily. Experience in application debugging with a focus on performance and scalability. Knowledge of standard application security compliance best practices. Expertise in fault detection and resolution processes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and developers. Capable of managing multiple tasks and providing swift support in production environments.

What does the role entail?

This position is centered on delivering exceptional customer-focused application support. We are seeking a skilled Engineer to become a vital part of our expanding Cloud team, taking the lead on client projects in our cloud environment.

How will you contribute?

  • Execute operational tasks such as monitoring application server health and managing service recycling.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational challenges, including batch failures, network disruptions, and client data feed errors.
  • Oversee server performance metrics, including memory usage, CPU load, file systems, and database operations.
  • Maintain thorough operational documentation, such as incident records and run books.
  • Create metric reports, including daily production updates.
  • Handle client support tickets and requests in alignment with service SLAs.
  • Resolve level 2 and level 3 issues, encompassing application support, database management, and data center challenges, while documenting findings in the customer support portal.
  • Provide on-call support during off-hours and be available for work during non-standard shifts.
