Role overview
The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a key role in maintaining and improving the infrastructure that supports RAVE Aerospace’s products and services. This position covers both internal and external applications, running on a hybrid mix of on-premises and cloud platforms. The work centers on designing, implementing, and sustaining systems that support development, deployment, and ongoing operations. Automation and continuous improvement are core to this role.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure for both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with internal software engineers and external partners to connect embedded avionics software with ground-based systems.
- Manage deployment environments, including native, containerized, and virtual machine-based applications.
- Ensure that infrastructure and applications meet security requirements and assist with regular security reviews.
- Monitor and optimize performance for availability, scalability, and cost.
- Support CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance, using tools such as Jenkins or AWS Code Pipeline.
- Create and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline routine tasks.
