The Senior Digital Forensic Examiner at tgs plays a central role in preserving and analyzing digital evidence across a variety of platforms. This position focuses on both traditional computer systems and cloud-based environments. Handling digital artifacts from multiple operating systems and mobile devices, the examiner must work independently and manage a diverse caseload. Strong communication skills are essential, as findings may be presented in both written reports and court testimony.

What you will do

  • Track and manage electronic evidence from intake to final disposition.
  • Use forensic software to identify, collect, preserve, and analyze data from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, email accounts, and cloud services.
  • Conduct email data collections and perform E-file conversions for electronic filing.
  • Collect and preserve data from social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members throughout each project.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and notes for all activities.
  • Handle monthly billing tasks for assigned projects.
  • Oversee client relationships and manage collection projects from scoping to completion, ensuring forensic standards are met.
  • Provide depositions and court testimony as needed.
  • Prepare clear, unbiased reports of findings.
  • Mentor and train junior forensic practitioners.

Requirements

  • Experience processing and extracting digital artifacts from a range of computer operating systems.
  • Ability to collect data from both Android and iOS mobile devices.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing time and caseload independently.
  • Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience providing testimony in legal settings.
