The Senior Digital Forensic Examiner at TransPerfect plays a key part in bridging technology and legal processes. This position centers on preserving digital media, working with cloud-based systems, and extracting digital evidence from computers and mobile devices. Managing several forensic cases at once, the examiner addresses technical challenges as they arise and communicates findings clearly, including testifying in legal settings when needed.
Main responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of electronic evidence, ensuring secure handling and accurate documentation at every stage.
- Utilize advanced forensic tools to identify, collect, preserve, and analyze data from laptops, desktops, mobile devices (Android and iOS), email accounts, and cloud services.
- Perform email and Efile conversions, and collect and preserve social media data as required by each case.
- Work closely with team members and stakeholders throughout each project phase.
- Maintain thorough project notes and complete all required documentation.
- Coordinate monthly billing activities for projects.
- Manage client relationships, including scoping projects, planning workflows, and ensuring a smooth transfer of data to internal teams.
- Provide depositions and testimony regarding digital collections and forensic findings as needed.
- Prepare detailed, unbiased, and forensically sound reports documenting findings.
- Mentor and train junior staff, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
