Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the firm’s representative in all client, contractor, architect, and project team interactions.
  • Develop foundational designs under the guidance of the supervising engineer or designer, and generate specifications, system narratives, and layouts for various projects.
  • Define design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and analyze system alternatives and building conditions.
  • Ensure interdisciplinary coordination with other consultants and trades.
  • Monitor communication among staff, clients, contractors, and owners.
  • Supervise construction administration tasks such as field reports, RFI responses, and the processing of bulletins and addenda.
  • Conduct periodic objective evaluations of employees.
  • Contribute to the Technical Leadership Committee of the business unit.
  • Support the Technical Manager and Chief Engineer in training and mentoring technical staff.
