About the job
At Anduril Industries, we are at the forefront of defense technology, dedicated to revolutionizing military capabilities for the U. S. and allied forces through innovative solutions. Our mission is to integrate the advanced expertise, technology, and business models of the most pioneering companies of the 21st century into the defense sector, fundamentally altering the design, manufacturing, and sales of military systems. Our systems are driven by Lattice OS, an AI-enhanced operating system that transforms diverse data streams into a real-time, 3D command and control hub. As global strategic dynamics shift, we are committed to delivering state-of-the-art autonomy, artificial intelligence, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to military operations within months instead of years.
The Maneuver Dominance team focuses on creating operationally relevant, multi-asset autonomy, ensuring seamless collaboration among large groups of autonomous systems. We utilize existing Anduril platforms such as Ghost and Altius, as well as incorporate third-party vehicles into our Lattice ecosystem.
We are currently seeking highly skilled Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineers with a strong background in autonomous safety-critical systems. The selected candidate will be instrumental in the development, testing, and implementation of GNC systems and architectures for both Anduril and external air vehicle platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and rigorously test algorithms tailored for guidance, navigation, and control systems in accordance with project specifications.
- Design, implement, and evaluate GNC architectures considering all components, including vehicles, sensors, actuators, and algorithms.
- Engage in all stages of system development, from conceptualization and design to prototyping, testing, and operational deployment.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising systems engineers, flight software engineers, mission autonomy engineers, and test engineers to ensure comprehensive integration and optimal performance of systems.
- Contribute to design reviews, safety evaluations, and meticulous system documentation.
- Employ simulation and analytical tools to validate GNC models and assess system performance under varying operational conditions.
- Provide expert system engineering insights in the development of GNC systems, fostering a cohesive and efficient design and implementation process.
