The Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a pivotal role in our HR department by closely collaborating with the Human Resources Manager to deliver exceptional employee relations, performance management, and strategic HR initiatives that resonate with our organizational objectives. This position serves as a vital resource for both leadership and employees, driving HR operations while taking ownership of significant projects and fostering process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Manager in addressing day-to-day employee relations issues by providing insightful guidance, coaching, and performance counseling to staff and management.
  • Conduct thorough research and investigations into employee relations matters, facilitating discussions with employees and management to effectively resolve concerns.
  • Enhance the onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they receive a warm and seamless introduction to the company.
  • Lead and coordinate HR projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and align with business goals.
  • Provide mentorship and training to HR specialists and generalists, fostering their professional development and increasing their expertise.
  • Analyze HR metrics at Headquarters and Field Business Units to identify risks and propose improvements.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager to develop employee retention strategies aimed at reducing turnover and enhancing overall engagement.
  • Manage follow-up processes for new hires, including employee surveys and addressing initial concerns.
  • Assist with offboarding procedures by conducting exit interviews, analyzing trends, and ensuring the return of company assets.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement events and initiatives to cultivate a positive workplace culture.
  • Facilitate monthly departmental meetings to communicate updates, gather feedback, and encourage open dialogue.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and employment laws, escalating issues to the HR Manager as necessary.
  • Oversee I-9 documentation maintenance and conduct audits to ensure legal compliance.
  • Collaborate with managers to maintain and update job descriptions, keeping them accurate and relevant.
  • Assist the Benefits team with administration and employee inquiries as required.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including job fairs and networking events, as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Coordinate or lead additional HR initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager.
